This time last year I snapped this selfie as we all celebrated the opening of the Las Minitas preschool that WE all helped build.

More than 200 people came together from Rochester and beyond to raise $5,200 to help the farmers realize their dream.

Later this month, Rochester Magazine will feature a first-person essay about The Friends Project mission and the experience of building the school ... It's a fine magazine and I'm proud to amplify our supporters' belief that everyday people can make tremendous impact.

Here's a look at our school on a day off last week, 2015, a year after opening. Come Monday, it will be full of kids!
