Getting this shot was torture. Wind made it so cold we could not feel our fingers after three timed exposures. Karim stopped for me at this spot that he saw driving, and I went to test out what I've learned over the past 4 days, him showing me the ropes of night photography, especially aurora. His work is among the best I've seen.
A few times I had to hold my tripod so it would not blow over; another time I just screamed the cold hurt so much and jumped behind the tripod as the seconds ticked.
But what the hell, it was worth it at 2 something a.m.
