Thanks to a generous contribution, our four teens in Las Minitas, Nicaragua, are finishing their high school educations ...
Each of the four students will receive a $35 scholarship — enough to cover supplies and books needed to attend.
The families of Las Minitas would likely find money to cover this cost, but it's difficult. The students walk or hitch rides down from the mountain community to attend Saturday classes, then walk back up.
Talk about sweat equity.
Thank you Kathy and Russ Thomas, of Rochester, NY, who believe in our Friends Project mission [www.thefriendsproject.org](Friends Project mission) to prove the power of everyday people to make a difference. They made the donation in the name of Wendy and Jim Thomas.
WE do this, together!
